The Archery Library

If you love archery and books, check out the Archery Library. Read classics like The Witchery of Archery by Maurice Thompson or Hunting with the Bow and Arrow by Saxton Pope, among many others, completely free. Check it out here.

Poor Folk Bows

I built my first bow using the red oak buildalong at Poor Folk Bows, and at least half the bowyers I know started the same way. Check it out if you’re interested in building any of your own archery tackle.

Primitive Archer Online

The Primitive Archer forums are a meeting place for all who want to discuss building bows, flintknapping, and traditional bowhunting. The magazine is a great read as well. Go read all about it.

The Traditional Bowhunting and Wilderness Podcast

This site has a ton of great information on all things bowhunting and traditional archery. The podcast is great for that commute to work or that drive to the hunting grounds.

 Traditional Archery 101

A simple, no-frills website by George Tsoukalas with good articles on making your own bows and arrows. The articles are written in plain text, using plain English, with descriptive photographs. Great educational reading for any bowyer, novice or veteran.
